2026 Heritage Festival Vendor Application

PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THROUGH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS THERE COULD BE CHANGES FROM PREVIOUS YEARS.

1. All accepted Craft/Merchandise Vendors are required to donate an item with a value of $20 or more to be included in our Silent Auction. Please bring the donation with you on Saturday morning of the Heritage Festival.

2. Craft Vendors are encouraged to demonstrate their craft. Please let us know if you are interested in participating in this feature of our Heritage Festival.
3. To maintain a variety of items, only a percentage of vendors in each category will be allowed. PREFERENCE IS GIVEN TO VENDORS WHOSE PRODUCTS ARE HAND CRAFTED AND/OR UNIQUE IN NATURE. Vendors must submit photographs of their booth set-up at previous events or pictures of their product to be considered for a booth space in the Heritage Festival. Only items listed by the Vendor will be allowed to be sold on the day of the event.
4. NO BOOTH WILL BE ALLOWED THAT OFFERS INFORMATION ONLY. There MUST be merchandise offered for sale. See guideline #3. A limited number of booths will be available to Non-Profits offering an activity.
5. While being a previous Heritage Festival Vendor does NOT guarantee a booth space, nor a particular booth space, we do give priority to returning vendors and Chamber Members.
6. Specific booth space requests made with an application will be considered, but are not guaranteed. Booth space locations will not be released until the week of the festival.
7. VENDOR MUST AGREE TO VACATE THEIR SPACE(S) NO EARLIER THAN 5:30 PM ON SATURDAY. CHILDREN AND SHOPPERS ARE WALKING FREELY ON THE SQUARE UNTIL 5 PM, AND IT IS OUR JOB TO WORK TOGETHER TO KEEP THEM SAFE. Failure to uphold these terms will result in not being allowed to return as a vendor in future Heritage Festivals, and we will have a police presence to help enforce this. This is only to protect our Festival Shoppers and children, and we need and appreciate your help with this
8. Vendors must notate a need for an electrical booth on this application at the time it is submitted. Only one plug per Electric Booth Fee. A limited supply of 110-volt outlets are available in specific booth locations on a first-come, first-served basis. SAFE EXTENSION CORDS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE VENDOR. NO GENERATORS ARE ALLOWED AT VENDOR BOOTHS, OTHER THAN FOOD TRUCKS.
9. Collection and reporting of all taxes and permits are the sole responsibility of the Vendor. (David Gwinn - City of Covington Licenses & Permits 901-476-7191 ext 138)
10. The Vendor is solely responsible for obtaining necessary permits and insurance coverage. This is a REQUIREMENT for all food vendors and must be provided with your application when submitted.
11. The Vendor agrees to hold Heritage Festival Committee/Covington-Tipton County Chamber of Commerce/City of Covington, Tennessee/Tipton County Government harmless for any/all claims, damages, or injuries arising from the Vendor’s use of booth space. This includes any merchandise left overnight at your booth and/or acts of God.
12. If the Chamber of Commerce, as the host of the Heritage Festival, must cancel the event due to inclement weather, the Heritage Festival Committee will contact vendors regarding credit for the 2027 festival. No rain dates are scheduled for the 2026 Heritage Festival.
13. There will be no offensive merchandise, as deemed by the host of the event, for sale or display at any booth. The Chamber of Commerce staff will ask you to remove any such merchandise. If you refuse, you will be asked to leave the festival. No refunds will be given.
14. No alcoholic beverages may be sold/consumed outside of the legally designated downtown areas. Violators of this rule will be asked to leave immediately and will not be allowed to return as a Vendor. No refunds will be given.
15. On Saturday, the Heritage Festival area will be open to Vendor vehicle traffic from 6 am to 8:30 am. NO VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE SQUARE DURING FESTIVAL HOURS, NO EXCEPTIONS. Vendors must not block the roadway for other Vendors' vehicles to pass through. PULL TO THE SIDE AND ALLOW OTHERS TO SAFELY PASS AND DRIVE THROUGH. On Saturday, the Heritage Festival area will open to Vendor Vehicle traffic at 5:30 PM.
16. Vendor agrees to confine operations to his own assigned space of (10‘x10‘) and not infringe on neighbors.
17. Vendors may set up tents, umbrellas, or other shelters, provided they are structurally sound and securely anchored and pose no threat of injury to the public or another vendor. Vendor will NOT drive stakes, nails, or pins into the pavement for any reason. If your booth, shelter, or tent is not securely anchored, you will be asked to take it down. (Sand in 5-gallon buckets helps weight the tent against the wind.)
18. VENDOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN TRASH AND CLEANUP WITHIN THEIR BOOTH SPACE.
