The Grainger County Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Dept with Grainger County Parks & Recreation, along with a partnership with Clinch Powell are excited to be hosting the 3rd annual Independence Day Celebration! The parade starts at 8 pm, and will start and end at Rutledge Primary. You may come as early as 6 pm to start decorating your float. Food trucks will be on site starting at 5:30, along with live band at the Courthouse.

I understand that by participating in the Grainger County 250th Celebration Parade, I release and discharge the Grainger County Chamber of Commerce, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, partners, and contractors from all liability for personal injury, accident, illness, death, or property damage arising from my participation.

* Assumption of Risk

I acknowledge that I assume all risks associated with participation, including risks involving spectators, other participants, vehicles, floats, animals, weather, and property conditions, except for injuries resulting from the Chamber’s gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

* Indemnification Agreement

I agree to indemnify, save, hold harmless, and defend the Grainger County Chamber of Commerce and its representatives from any loss, damages, expenses, or attorney’s fees resulting from my participation in the Parade.

* Candy Rule – No Throwing

I understand that candy may NOT be thrown and must be handed out by walkers only.

* Candy Rule – Liability for Throwing

I understand that if I choose to throw candy, I assume all liability for any injuries or damages caused by my actions.

* Candy Rule – Insurance Does Not Cover Thrown Candy

I understand that the Chamber’s insurance does NOT cover injuries caused by thrown candy, and I accept full responsibility for any claims arising from failure to follow this rule.

* Vehicle & Driver Certification

I certify that any vehicle I operate in the Parade is properly insured according to Tennessee law and that I possess a valid driver’s license.

* Final Agreement & Authorization

I agree to the terms of this waiver and certify that I am authorized to sign for myself and/or my organization, if applicable.
