Event Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 9 AM to 2 PM

Cost: 4'x4' area $10  OR  8'x10' area $25  OR 2'x2' tabletop area $5 for those with accessibility needs

Location: Willamette Falls Drive between 11th and 14th Streets, info booth at Willamette Falls Dr and 13th St near TVF&R Station #59

Check-in: opens at 8 AM for artists.  Each participant will be assigned a specific location.

An initial supply of chalk will be provided to participants. Additional chalk supplies will be available for purchase on-site. Dress appropriately for chalk work and bring kneeling pads if desired. 

Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for each entrant category except Preschool. Participation ribbons for all preschool, primary, middle, and high school students.

Fill out this application to participate. Day-of registration is available; however, the price will increase. Day-of registration is $20 for a 4'x4' area and $50 for an 8'x10' area, or $10 for a 2'x2' accessibility space.

Applications will be accepted through Friday, September 11, 2026.

By submitting this application electronically, I certify that I have read, understand, and agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Assumption of Risk
   I understand that participation in the Historic Willamette Main Street Chalk The Walk is voluntary and may involve risks, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, illness, or other unforeseen hazards. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in this event.

2. Release of Liability
   I release, waive, and forever discharge Historic Willamette Main Street, its board members, officers, employees, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to my participation in the Historic Willamette Main Street Chalk The Walk, including any claims resulting from ordinary negligence to the fullest extent permitted by law.

3. Permission to Use Artwork and Images
   I grant Historic Willamette Main Street the perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to photograph, video record, and otherwise capture images of my artwork and my participation in the event. I authorize the use of these images and recordings for promotional, educational, marketing, archival, and other lawful purposes in any media, including websites, social media, print materials, advertising, and future event promotions, without compensation or further permission.

4. Compliance with Event Rules
   I agree to comply with all rules, policies, and instructions established by Historic Willamette Main Street and the event organizers. I understand that artwork must be suitable for a public, family-friendly event and may not contain obscene, offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate content. I understand that failure to comply with event rules may result in removal from the event without refund, if applicable.

5. Minors
   Participants under the age of 18 must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian throughout the duration of the event.

6. Parent or Legal Guardian Consent
   If this application is submitted on behalf of a participant under the age of 18, I certify that I am the participant's parent or legal guardian. By submitting this application, I give permission for the minor to participate in the Historic Willamette Main Street Chalk The Walk, and agree to all of the terms and conditions of this waiver and release on behalf of both myself and the minor.
